Senior Scientist — Immunoassay & PCR

We're looking for a passionate, results-driven scientist committed to early cancer detection. This is a key role on our Assay Product Development team — your responsibility will be to drive the advancement of our proprietary nanotechnology multi-omics assay portfolio. You will be involved in all stages from development, optimization, and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, coordinating, and executing experiments for late-phase development of DNA/RNA and protein immunoassays on biological specimens
  • Providing technical expertise for immunoassay and PCR development, including assay development, optimization, calibrator and control evaluations
  • Planning development activities and documenting results within a design change control environment per regulatory guidelines
  • Applying analytical and statistical techniques to diagnose performance issues and implement improvements
  • Developing conclusions and communicating results to internal and external audiences

Requirements

  • MS with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years as a scientist in clinical molecular diagnostic assays
  • Experience with blood/urine-based immunoassay development
  • Experience in regulated environments (GLP or CLIA)
  • Advanced understanding of ligand binding immunoassays — ELISA, chemiluminescence, FRET/BRET, fluorescence, bioluminescence
  • Expertise in analytical/statistical methods: DoE, ANOVA, JMP or similar

Nice to Have

  • Experience in biomarker discovery and validation studies
  • Experience on platforms: MSD, ELISA, Gyros, or Quanterix
  • Background in nanotechnology

  • Troubleshoot and improve processes to enhance stability, sensitivity, and specificity

Requirements

  • PhD/MSc in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field with 5+ years industrial experience
  • Strong expertise in nanoparticle surface modification and functionalization
  • Hands-on experience with thiol, amine, acid, azide, and click chemistries
  • Proven success in developing particle-based immunoassays (ELISA, lateral flow)
  • Solid background in analytical methods for characterizing nanoparticles

Nice to Have

  • Experience scaling nanoparticle products for FDA-regulated markets
  • Background in developing in vitro diagnostic assays, especially oncology
